Subaru has unveiled their brand new Special Edition WRX STI. The new car will feature performance upgrades over the standard model, where some luxuries will then be cut out. The engine boosts out 305-horsepower and there will be a similar suspension to the Spec C model. Check out more here.

The latest new passenger vehicle sales figures released by NAAMSA show a marginal decline of 6,7% in November when compared to October 2009. However, the good news for the motor industry is that the sales reported for November is 4,6% up on November 2008. The Italian Police has crashed their wonder Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Polizia. The crash occurred when the coppers decided to swerve away from a car coming out of a petrol station. The Gallardo then slammed into a couple of parked cars on the side of the road. Reports said that the passengers left the car without harm, however we wish that we could say the same for the Gallardo. Check it out here.

Ferrari are looking to rival the hypercars with their new F70. The Italian supercar maker are looking to challenge the Bugatti Veyron as well as the Lamborghini Reventon with their new FXX-based F70. BMW has said that their new X5 & X6 Motorsport models will hit the South African market. The starting price for the two will bet set at R1,225,000 for the X5 M, and R1,260,000 for the X6 M. There will be a new sportier design along with 4.4-litre turbocharged engines using a four-wheel-drive layout. Power will be set at 408kW with 680Nm of torque. The UK firm will upgrade the ECU on your Scirocco where they will boost power from 140-hp to 170-horsepower with 282lb-ft of torque.
