The latest news from Tshwane states that Taxi’s will be able to undergo roadworthy tests at no costs to the owners. The initiative comes in form of preparations for the expected increase in traffic over the Easter holidays.
The test would only be for a limited period, which ends on the 3rd of April. The metro police urged taxi drivers to take advantage of this in order to avoid being penalised for unroadworthy vehicles during the Easter Weekend.
The initiative is said to be for everyone’s safety over this period.
