Tesla have now introduced their Model S sedan, and it will enter production in the third quarter of 2011. The Model S sedan is 4.98meters long and it is much more practical than the Tesla Roadster.
There will be a 8,000 cell battery pack, which will allow a range of 483km. The batteries are housed on the floor which allow a lot of space inside the car.
The Tesla Model S weighs in at 1,735kg and it is made up mostly from aluminium. The drag coefficient is around .27 which is lower than the Roadsters .35. There will be a single-speed transaxle along with a liquid-cooled 9-inch motor.
The 0-100km/h sprint is covered in 5.6 seconds and it will do a quarter mile in 14 seconds. The tpo speed is 193km/h. You can expect a sport version which will be able to do 0-100km/h in under 5 seconds.
