Earlier on we reported a bit about the Volkswagen Golf GTD, but now we have a few more details to share. The GTD will have the same front end as the GTI, except it will have a chromed outer line, instead of a red one like on the GTI.
On the GTD you will find a single exhaust pipe on either side, instead of two pipes on one side. The GTD also comes with a sports diffuser and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet you will find a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 125kW and 350Nm of torque. The GTD will get from 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds and then travel to a top speed of 222km/h. The GTD will average 5.3 litres of diesel per 100km and it has CO2 emissions of 139g/km.
The same sporty interior from the GTI can be found in the GTD, where some of the features include a three-spoke flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, sports seats and an optional satnav system.
Expect the choice for a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG box.
