Finally! The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has been officially revealed, ahead of the world premiere at the New York Auto Show. The new AMG will feature a 6.3-litre V8 engine with 525-hp and 630Nm of torque for the global market, while the US Market will get a 518-hp and 465lb-ft of torque model. The engine will be connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission, and it was said that the E63 AMG will get from 0-100km/h in only 4.5 seconds and then move onto an electronically controlled speed of 250km/h.
The fuel consumption on the E63 AMG has been reduced by around 12 percent and the beast will now get around 12.6litres per 100km. Mercedes-Benz did not stop at only decreasing the fuel economy as they have added an electronically controlled damping system with a newly developed front axle with a 56-millimeter wider track, while the back will have a more negative camber which will be supported by optimized elastokinematics and a new subframe mounting. Shew.
AMG have included a new power steering system as well as an individual 3-stage ESP and a high-performance braking system.
You will be able to see that the new AMG rides on new, much sweeter looking 18-inch alloy wheels covered in some serious rubber. The bodykit on the AMG consists of a new front bumper, side skirts, rear apron with integrated diffuser and tinted headlamps. The interior will feature new sport seats, an AMG steering wheel, a revised instrument cluster and of course, a sportier trim.
