Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing – Images & Sketches

Mercedes-Benz are trying really hard to hype people up about their new SLS AMG. The company has now released two official design sketches, as well as an array of interior shots of the SLS AMG. The sketches are a bit more dramatic than the real life SLS AMG, but it still shows that the design was influenced by the 1950’s 300 SL and 300 SLR sports car with gullwing doors.

The inside of the SLS AMG is a bit toned down to what you’d usually expect from a Mercedes supercar, but there are of course plenty of carbon-fibre parts, as well as the full leather treatment.

Under the bonnet you will find a 6.3-litre V8 engine with 571-hp and 650Nm of torque. The power will be sent to the rear wheels through the new AMG dual-clutch transmission with seven gears. Expect 0-100km/h to come in around 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 315km/h.
We will see Mercedes-Benz launch the SLS AMG in 2010.
