Cooking Oil Causes 20 Car Pile Up On The N1

This is quite the interesting accident which happened on the N1 in Johannesburg.

It was reported that a truck carrying cooking oil had over turned, where about 20 cars then piled up on Sunday. There were 40 injuries, and no deaths. 12 people were taken to nearby hospitals as cars ploughed into each other.

The accident happened when two trailers of cooking oil had blocked the entire width of the freeway. The thousands of litres of oil took several hours to clear, andthe road was still blocked this morning as drivers were asked to find and alternate route to take.
